A cycle of classical music concerts that is meaningful for Šakiai region cultural life and is taking place for eight years in a row, is already famous among music lovers, its sounds can be heard around Šakiai district manors and churches.
The classic music festival "Beatrice summer" for the first time was organised in 2010, to
commemorate the 100th anniversary of the local resident - the singer Beatričė Grincevičiūtė.
The festival takes place during May-August. Named in honour of the famous Lithuanian performer Beatričė Grincevičiūtė, who spent her
summer in Šakiai region, at Ilguva manor.
